Search Visibility

This page is blocked from appearing in search results

What this means for your business

This page is actively blocking search engines from indexing it. Unless this is intentional, it will not appear in Google search results at all.

How to fix it
Easy
10 minutes

  1. 1Check your page for a noindex meta tag in the <head>: <meta name="robots" content="noindex">. If you find one on a page you want indexed, remove it.
  2. 2Check your robots.txt file (yoursite.com/robots.txt) for Disallow rules that block the affected page or directory.
  3. 3In your web server or CMS settings, look for a "search engine visibility" or "discourage search engines" option — make sure it's disabled.
  4. 4Use Google Search Console → URL Inspection → "Request Indexing" after fixing to ask Google to re-crawl the page.
  5. 5If the noindex is intentional (e.g., admin pages, thank-you pages), this finding can be safely ignored.

On WordPress

Go to Settings → Reading → uncheck "Discourage search engines from indexing this site." For individual pages, check the Yoast SEO panel at the bottom of the editor — set "Search engine visibility" to "Yes, show in search results."

On Shopify

Go to Online Store → Preferences → scroll to "Google Analytics" section. Shopify automatically handles indexing for main pages. Check theme code for accidental noindex meta tags.
